smt clicked when i read dis verse..
i remembered having a tok wif den abt dis some time ago while eating seafood soup...
we were toking abt spiritual gifts and fruits of the spirit..


spiritual gifts include prophesying, word of knowledge, faith, discernment, casting out demons, healing, interpretation of tongues, tongues etc etc..
guess all of us greatly yearn for one or more of these gifts...
i mean, who doesn't want to be like pastor mike conner and benny hinn who win millions of souls for Christ by casting out demons and healing the sick by God's power?
its a gd ting to desire after these gifts..


but how mani of us actually even tink of cultivating the fruit of the spirit?
whenever gifts are mentioned,
we automatically tink of prophesying and casting out demons, which are good tings..
but wat abt love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control?


often,
we land ourselves into trouble becox we do not haf these fruits of the spirit..
tk myself for example,
i did quite badly for mi main examination and piano exam..
yes, i can blame my failure on the devil but ultimately the reason why i did badly was becox i wasn't disciplined enuff to study and practise..
i lacked the fruit of self-control and faithfulness...


looking arnd me,
i realise tt all of us in some way or another haf been given spiritual gifts..
don't shake ur head..
speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift too..
but how mani of us actually haf love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control?
maybe 1 or 2, here and there but lacking even 1 can cause major problems by itself alreadi..
dun start ticking wif ur fingers wat others are lacking in..
look at urself..


lets not give in so easily to our flesh with its passions and desires..
for the bible says tt,

"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
-Galatians 5:25-

if u lack love, then cultivate love..
if u are dry, start cultivating faithfulness in doing ur QT and reading the bible..
don't wait...
NOW IS THE TIME!

jux got back frm fellowship...
though nth realli special happened,
i'm jux really glad tt tings are back to normal...
aftr all tt has taken place over the past 6 mths right up to dis wk,
i realli thank God tt issues haf been sorted out and differences put aside..
i've learnt much frm each of them...
child-like faith for instance..
being made this way,
i tend to tink alot thus opening doors for doubts to enter..
aftr fellowshipping wif them,
i start to see tings in a much simplier light..
nth realli complicated abt life actually;
just living for Jesus and loving Him.....


its been a yr since i gave my heart to Christ...
wat an adventure it has been..
pple haf fallen, others haf risen...
mistakes made and learnt...
issues exposed and dealt wif...
quarrels surfaced and understanding given..
indeed, i've learnt much..


such a long way ahead..
so mani more tings to learn...


Let your patience show itself in everything u do,
then u will be complete and will lack nth..

in life,
there is no perfect way to anyting..
there is onli a nice way and a right way...

a nice way may not necessarily be the right way..
yes, it may spare the person's feelings..
it may prevent awkwardness frm forming...
but at the end of the day,
are u answerable to God?
are u allowing tt person a chance to learn and grow?
to do tings the nice way is v ez..
u jux haf to bo chap everyting,
u jux hafta pretend tt nth has happened..
tt its none of ur business..

on the other hand,
doing tings the right way is often uncomfortable..
it may sometimes cost u a person's trust..
or even a frienship...
but when all is said and done,
u can be assured tt on judgement day,
u nid not be answerable for the consequences of "bo chaping" and doing tings the "nice way"...

i too,
gotta learn to do tings the right way..
not procrastinating,
but being accountable right away..
after all,
its God not man u hafta ans to..

tts jux the way life is..
full of irony and contradiction..
u either accept it or fight it..

i was water baptised yesterday!
which means,
my old self died with Jesus on the cross!

My creator came down to earth to die for my sins..
not a natural death, but a gruesome and extremely painful one..
while, i the unworthy "created being" gets to live again by being submerged in water..
i'm speechless at God's love..
its unanimous, my GOD IS A GOOD GOD! =)

indeed,
i'll never know how much it cost
to see my sin upon that cross..

WHO AM I IN GOD???

tts something we jux gotta get right...
the basics of the basics..
the root of problems like security and inferiority..

we are all human...Amen?
so, we do haf our sudden bouts of jealousness and insecure moments..
i mean, who doesn't?
so as humans, wat do we do when we see our friends getting better grades,
or our sibling getting promoted?
more often than not,
we start to see green...we start to E-N-V-Y..
which, shd'nt be the way...
jealousy isn't a very nice feeling after all..

one effective weapon against dis enemy is,
knowing where we, as individuals, stand wif God...
knowing 'Who We Are In Christ'..
pastor mike conner shared a lil bout dis recently..

anywayz,
i was asking God jux now "Who am I?"
i know i'm xu bin but who am i?
He said, "You are MY DAUGHTER.."
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!
the love and peace of God jux flooded me..
yay!!!
its realli amazing wat a sentence as short as such can do..
truely, He is the living God!!! Amen!
